Can we visit for a short break?

We offer a minimum of a weeks stay, with changeover day on Fridays.

Shorter breaks may be possible during low and mid season periods, but will be dependent on availability and upon request only.  Please contact us directly, and we can let you know if it’s possible.  Our pricing page details the low, mid and high season periods.

How do I check availability?

Please follow the ‘Contacts & Bookings’ link on any of our pages, to enquire or book directly with us. We will aim to respond within 24 hours and get you booked in.

Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my booking?

Yes, 50% of the overall amount due will be taken to secure your booking.

​

When do I pay the final balance due?

The remaining 50% will be due 6 weeks prior to your arrival date.

​

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

We fully understand that the best laid plans can change. If you need to amend your dates or cancel your booking, please contact us immediately.

Full refunds are issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away.

50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in.

No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

Do we have to pay an accidental damage deposit?

We request a deposit of £400 to cover any potential damages. This payment will be taken at the same time you pay your final balance, which is six weeks before the arrival date.

Presuming all is well at the property post your departure, the deposit will be refunded to you when final clean and inspection of the property has taken place and at the latest within 7 days.

The funds will be returned to the same account they were paid from.

If there are any deductions to be made, we will inform you of the charges. If the deductions exceed the deposit amount, you must agree to pay the owner within 14 days of being notified.

What happens if an item gets damaged or broken during our stay?

We fully understand that accidents happen. It would really help us if you could report any breakages or damage as soon as it happens, to allow us enough time to source or repair the item, not only for the next guests but also for you during your stay.

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

What are the arrival and departure times?

Please vacate the property by 10am on your day of departure.

Please check in anytime from 4pm on your arrival day. If the property happens to be ready earlier, we will contact you to let you know.  We are happy to meet and greet you upon arrival, or if you prefer or the timings require we can give you the access code to the lock box to obtain the key.

 

PROPERTY

Are bed linen and towels provided?

Yes, they are. All of the beds will be made up ready for your arrival and bathroom towels will be placed in all of the en-suites.

How many people does Honeypot Cottage sleep?

The maximum guest occupancy is as follows:

8 people (in two king size bedrooms, one double bedroom, and one twin bedroom)

Guests are welcome to visit you at the property, but are not permitted to sleep over.

Does the property have Wi-Fi?

Yes, it does. The Wi-Fi code will be listed in the house guide.

​

Are cots/highchairs provided?

Unfortunately the property isn't suitable for children under the age of 5.

​

Can I bring a pet?

Although we love all furry friends, we do not allow pets at Honeypot Cottage.

Do we need to clean the property before we depart?

The cleaning of the property is included, but we do kindly request that you leave the property reasonably clean and tidy at the end of your stay, to allow us sufficient time to prepare for the new guests to arrive.

Emptying the dishwasher and putting away all crockery and pans would be much appreciated, as would placing rubbish into the appropriate bins provided. Please strip your bed linen and leave on the floor with your used towels.

MISCELLANEOUS

We have an electric vehicle, where can we charge it?

Charging an electric vehicle is not permitted at the property, but the nearest charging points are:

East Street Car Park, East St, Bridport DT6 3LJ (1.5 miles)

Leisure Centre, Watton Park, Bridport DT6 5NJ (2.4 miles)
